It is out of the ordinary to suspect an Alien and a Possum would ever be friends. One night when Possum watches Alien's spaceship land the two become friends almost instantly.

This book provides a positive example of making friends, positive self esteem, and diversity/5. The trash can won't talk back, which angers Alien, until Possum explains that trash cans don't talk.

In the final story, "The Bedtime Story," Alien starts to read a story to Possum, but Possum falls asleep. The story is so good that, while Possum Alien & Possum book, Alien eats the book.

But all is well, because, as Alien says, "I have an electro-perfect 5/5(2). Alien & Possum: Hanging Out is an early reader with three short stories about a very unlikely friendship between an alien and a possum.

A springy pace, lively dialogue, and Alien's silly sound effects make this an ideal read-aloud. In the final story, for instance, Possum falls asleep while Alien reads him a bedtime story and then eats the book ("It was such a good bedtime story I ate it"), but the creature's "electro.
